KAYAK CAMPO

About us

We are a team passionate about nature, adventure, and connecting with people. Each of us brings our unique personality and style, from those who enjoy working with children to those who prefer the adrenaline of rock & roll with young people and groups of friends. Caring for you with attention, patience, and cordiality is our common denominator.

We love to laugh, joke, and be serious when necessary. In our activities, especially in rafting, there is always room for different dynamics and moments.

Committed to the environment, we use eco-friendly cleaning products and minimize our environmental impact during descents. We raise awareness among our clients about the human impact on rivers, canyons, and lakes due to misuse and climate change. We do this not only to care for our work environment but also because, without the nature that surrounds us in the Pyrenees, we couldn’t live as we want.

Our history

Kayak Campo was born in 2009 with the desire to share a different way of life through the river, travel, and contact with nature. We wanted to create a warm meeting point where kayakers, artists, travelers, and adventurers could share their experiences.

We started as a small shop, club, and kayak school, focused on teaching and promoting whitewater kayaking and environmental care. Today, our activity program has evolved and grown, just like our family.

We want to continue discovering, learning, and dreaming every day, and give more people the opportunity to join this journey and make adventure a lifestyle.

Our activity bases

Our main base is in Campo, on the banks of the Ésera River, in the Ribagorza region “the Heart of the Pyrenees,” where we conduct activities year-round.

In the summer months, we have the facilities of the Base Náutica de Graus, where we conduct calm water activities on Lake Barasona.

We also have facilities in Torla, at the entrance to the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, on the banks of the Ara River, where we conduct activities in spring.

We offer hot shower facilities, changing rooms, cleaning and repair areas, an information office, a sales shop, and technical equipment rentals.

Whitewater technical equipment

At Kayak Campo, we prioritize quality in all our activities. We provide all the necessary technical equipment, with high-quality, certified, and approved gear, which we regularly update and renew to ensure our clients’ safety.

We also offer advice to our students and provide trial equipment from the best brands, so they can choose the gear that best suits their needs.

Discover the Ésera and Ara Rivers

Ésera River

The Ésera River is a river in Upper Aragon, fed by the Aneto glacier and heavy rains between Benasque and Eriste. It originates in the Maladeta massif, at 2,500 meters high, in the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park.

Downstream, the river is retained in Lake Barasona, in Graus, until it flows into the Cinca River. Its passage through Campo, where our main headquarters is located, is a classic for kayaking and rafting, with rapids and hot water pools in summer, and the impressive “Pyramids” canyon.

Ara River

The Ara River is a magnificent mountain river, a symbol of purity and freedom. It is the last wild river in the Pyrenees, with no dams along its 70 km. It originates on the slopes of the Vignemale and flows through the valley carved by the glaciers of Ordesa.

Its upper basin is on the edges of the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, and it flows into the Cinca River near Aínsa. Ideal for rafting and kayaking, the Ara River offers sections for beginners and experts, from Torla to Fiscal.
